This trilogy is an attempt to capture the rich heritage, distinct character, resilient faith and sweeping history of the Children of the Danube from the time of their arrival in Hungary in the early 18th century until the tragic destruction of their communities and expulsion of their populations following the Second World War. Although it is written in the format of historical fiction, it is as factual as possible, richly interspersed with the family history of the author and is populated with flesh and blood characters and stories handed down over the generations as the title indicates. It appears in three volumes:
Strangers and Sojourners
Emigrants and Exiles
